Experience the Thrill of Kiruna's Winter Wonderland

Embark on an exhilarating 32 km snowmobile adventure through the stunning winter landscape of Kiruna, Sweden. Starting from Camp Alta Kiruna, our guided tour will take you across the frozen expanse of Lake Alttajärvi, where you can feel the rush of speeding over the ice. As we journey through the dense forests of Poikkijärvi and along the scenic Torne River, keep an eye out for local wildlife such as reindeer and moose.

Our adventure includes a stop at the world-renowned Icehotel. Here, you can marvel at intricate ice sculptures and warm up with a hot beverage. Following this, we head to the Sami village of Jukkasjärvi to learn about the rich history and culture of the indigenous Sami people. Halfway through the tour, you can switch drivers, allowing everyone to experience the thrill of driving a snowmobile.

This 5-hour tour is suitable for both beginners and experienced riders. Our knowledgeable guides will provide all necessary equipment, training, and ensure your safety throughout the journey.

Prices: for 2 persons/snowmobile:

Two Persons per Snowmobile:

  • Adult: SEK 1420
  • Children (under 12 years, minimum age 4 years): SEK 800

Single Rider per Snowmobile::

  • Adult: SEK 1860 (Please contact us via email to book this option or book upon arrival at the reception)

For larger groups, please contact us for special arrangements.

We also offer tours that include lunch with options like salmon soup or mushroom soup, made from locally sourced organic ingredients.

Two Persons per Snowmobile:

Included in the tour:

  • Transfer from Kiruna
  • Warm winter clothes (winter overall, boots, hats, mittens and helmets)
  • Please note: A valid driving license (car/mc) is required to drive the snowmobile. Without a driving license, you can join as a pillion rider.

What to bring:

  • Contact lenses instead of glasses are recommended.
  • Warm base layer clothing

Transport options

Self-drive: Camp Alta Kiruna, Jullebovägen 2 (approximately a 15-minute drive from Kiruna). Please check in at least 10 minutes before the tour starts.

Shuttle Service times: Complimentary shuttle service for the 09:30 AM departure. Meeting point is the reception area of your accommodation. Be ready 10 minutes before the start of the tour.

Pick-Up Timings:

  • 09:00am from Camp Ripan / Spis Hostel
  • 09:10am from Tourist Office (New City Centre)

Terms and conditions

Your safety and the safety of others is essential aspect for this scooter company and for us.For this reason, they have the following guidelines and restrictions

  • Guidance and Punctuality: All tours are guided. Punctuality is appreciated.
  • Safety Instruction: Participants will receive brief instructions on snowmobile safety and basic driving skills.
  • Provided Gear: Helmets, snowsuits, insulated boots, ski goggles, and warm gloves are provided.
  • Driver Requirements: A valid driving license (car, tractor, AM class 1, scooter, mc) is required. Drivers must be at least 18 years old to carry a passenger.
  • Maximum Capacity: Each snowmobile can carry a maximum of two people (driver and passenger) for safety reasons.
  • Risk Acknowledgment: Participants must acknowledge the inherent risks of snowmobiling. The maximum speed limit is 70 km/h.
  • Guideline Adherence: For safety, participants must follow the guide’s instructions. Failure to comply may result in the tour being terminated.
  • Adventure Awareness: Remember, this is an adventure with inherent risks, not a race.
  • Age Restrictions: The minimum age for participation is 6 years old (weather permitting). Pregnant women cannot join the tour.
  • Driving Conduct: Participants must drive in line; zigzag driving and overtaking are forbidden.
  • Impairment Policy:Anyone suspected of being under the influence of drugs or alcohol will not be allowed to participate.
  • Safety Distance: Maintain a safe distance between vehicles as instructed by the guide.
  • Risk Acceptance: Participation in snowmobile tours is at the participants' own risk.
  • Right of Refusal: We reserve the right to deny participation to any individual.
  • Cancellation Policy: Snowmobile tours have a 48-hour cancellation policy. The organizer reserves the right to cancel the tour due to unfavorable weather conditions. If the cancellations made less than 48 hours before arrival will be charged 100% of the total amount.
  • Liability The organizer is not responsible in case of force majeure (particular weather conditions like temperature, snow, wind, storm, delays during travelling, blocked roads,).
  • a) The organizer holds no responsibility for any accidents or damages (injures, deaths etc) if that damage was caused by no fault of the organizer.
  • b) The organizer cannot accept liability for failure when the improper performance is due to the actions of our guests, someone else not connected with the provision of our services, or unusual/unforeseeable circumstances beyond our control.
  • c) In case of damage caused by the driver, a fee up to SEK 6000 may be charged as a self-risk for the insurance.
  • d) All guests must sign a waiver of liability before the tour.
  • Health: You as the Client are taking full responsibility for your health during the trip. you have to be in good health, which means that he is ready to spend some time in special weather conditions (particularly frost, snow, wind). You as the Client have to inform us about any pre-existing medical condition to better help the Client in case of emergency. If we decide before the trip that Client is not ready for the trip, we can cancel this booking with a 100% refund.
  • Complaints We continually strive to give guests the best possible experience during your time with us but in the unlikely event you have a complaint about any part of your tour, please report it to one of our guides at the soonest practicable opportunity so we have an opportunity to rectify the problem.
